Bewley’s Employees big cycle to raise funds for Hospice Coffee Morning together with Bewley’s

Bewley’s staff individually complete 100 km in charity cycle for Hospice

Bewley’s employees have completed an incredible 100KM cycle to raise funds and awareness for Hospice Coffee Morning together with Bewley’s, which takes place on Thursday 24th September.

Team work

The team of 5 cyclists included Jason Doyle, Managing Director of Bewley’s Ireland & UK along with Julie Allman, Eamonn Diver, Mark Coogan, and David Newman who made the 100KM journey individually this year to support the annual initiative. Each year, the charity cycle sees Bewley’s employees complete the journey across Dublin, stopping into local hospices and finishing at the iconic Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street. However, due to the recent Covid-19 restrictions, each employee completed the cycle, safely and individually in their local areas.

Big Hospice Coffee morning

Hospice Coffee Morning together with Bewley’s is celebrating twenty-eight years of coffee mornings and to date has raised over €39 million for hospices across Ireland. The Irish public is being urged to host a virtual or socially distanced coffee morning on Thursday 24th September to help raise vital funds for their local hospice. It is hoped that this year’s events, whether held in small groups in homes or virtually with colleagues and friends, will raise much-needed funds for hospices across Ireland, to meet growing demands for the services.

Jason Doyle, Managing Director at Bewley’s Ireland & UK said, “Bewley’s has spent the last 28 years supporting this great cause and we’re delighted to be involved as the sole sponsor once again this year. Last year we reached a major milestone in our fundraising and raised a massive €2 million and we hope with our annual Bewley’s cycle we can contribute to this and raise much-needed funds for these vital services”
