Upgraded Waterside Maxol reopens

The Maxol service station on the Glendermott Road in the Waterside area of Derry/Londonderry has reopened following an extensive refurbishment.

The convenience and forecourt was taken over and reopened by husband and wife entrepreneurs, Alan and Val Rodden (pictured above); also owners of the Maxol Eglinton station.

The revamped station now includes a bright Moreish deli, bringing its facilities up to the latest Maxol standards.

Brian Donaldson, Maxol group general manager, said:  “We’re thrilled that Alan and Val Rodden have decided to extend their repertoire to include the Waterside Maxol station.

“They have done exceptionally well with Eglinton, so naturally they were prime candidates when we were seeking someone to operate the Waterside site.”

Val Rodden said the couple were delighted with the finished station.

“As it is situated right in the centre of the Waterside we could see its potential and therefore felt it was an opportunity we couldn’t let pass by,” she said. “We love being a part of the Maxol family and we look forward to providing the community with the high levels of service and convenience they have come to expect from Maxol.”

The refurbished Waterside filling station includes an extensive modern forecourt, a Maxol Spar store, a Moreish Deli and a Maxwash drive through carwash.
