New era for Irish snack-food manufacturer Largo Foods

Snack-food manufacturer, Largo Foods has announced its rebrand and name change to Tayto Snacks.

The company, previously known as Largo Foods, will henceforth be known as Tayto Snacks, in homage to the strength, longevity, and recognition of its flagship brand. Headquartered in Ashbourne, Co. Meath adjacent to its 80,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, the company employs almost 400 staff and indirectly supports a large group of industries and jobs across Ireland.

Speaking at the announcement Tayto Snacks managing director Jeff Swan commented: “The decision to rename our business Tayto Snacks came naturally from conversations we were having about business transformation. Although our brands have considerable heritage, we are progressive and passionate about what we do and our desire to constantly improve how we create great savoury snacks for our consumers, customers and suppliers. Our new name, Tayto Snacks, better associates ourselves with the category we love and our most loved, respected, and recognised brand.”

Tayto Snacks is Ireland’s largest snack food manufacturer and distributor, with a broad portfolio of Irish loved brands, including Hunky Dorys, Hula Hoops, King, KP, and Perri. The company produces over two million snack products each week, which are sold throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

Tayto Snacks is a proud supporter of Irish farmers and sources almost 30,000 tonnes of potatoes from Irish farms each year.  The potatoes, which are primarily sourced from farms based in Meath, Dublin, Louth and Wexford, equate to approximately 10 percent of the nation’s annual potato crop.
