A grassroots group of 30 volunteers are travelling more than 3,250 km from Ireland to Ukraine in a convoy of 13 vehicles, including two ambulances, four-wheel-drive SUVs, pick-ups and Jeeps. The Jeeps for Peace convoy will deliver almost €1 million worth of donated medical supplies and vehicles to war-torn Ukraine, with fuel support from The Maxol Group.

Before setting off across Europe, the volunteers gathered at Maxol Ardbrae, Bray to fill their tanks and prepare for the journey. Led by Sammy Byrne, one of the driving forces behind the initiative, the volunteers will deliver supplies and vehicles to help transport wounded people to lifesaving medical care.
