With Upgrades in Cavan, Laois and Clare
Over €855K invested to enhance customer experience across key locations
Maxol has completed the latest phase of its ongoing investment and redevelopment programme, with significant upgrades delivered at three locations in Cavan, Laois and Clare.
Together, the three projects represent an investment of more than €855,000, underlining Maxol’s continued commitment to investing in its nationwide retail network and enhancing the experience for customers across Ireland.
In County Cavan, Cullies on the Ballyhaise Road received a €120,000 refurbishment, featuring a comprehensive shop and seating area upgrade, providing customers with a more modern and comfortable experience. Licensee Jim Burke, who recently celebrated the sale of a winning €1 million Lotto ticket said the team was delighted with the redevelopment.
Jim Burke said: “The redevelopment of the store by Maxol supports our commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. This investment reflects Maxol’s customer-focused ethos, and it’s great to see our regulars enjoying the upgraded convenience offering and relaxing in the new seating area. We’re delighted with the results.”
Enhanced experience
The €90,000 investment at Maxol Ballylinan saw the creation of a state-of-the art seating area as well as an enhanced convenience shopping offering for customers. The refurbishment included an all-new dine-in area, a state-of-the-art ROSA Coffee station and a Maxol Deli.
With high footfall and a loyal customer base, Maxol Licensee Michele O’Brien Power, who also operates Maxol Maganey, Co. Carlow and Dublin Road Kilkenny, has been operating the Ballylinan store with her son, Ger Reid, from December 2024.
Speaking about the redevelopment, Michele said: “The whole team is delighted to be part of a family-owned business like Maxol, which has been serving local communities for over 106 years. As well as delivering top-tier customer service, we now have a new and improved space which has been well received by our customers.”
Improving accessibility
In Clare, €645,000 was invested at Maxol Service Station Clarecastle on the Ennis Road to provide new parking facilities to the rear of the site, improving accessibility and convenience for customers.
Mark Cribbin, Operations Director, at Aramark Ireland, the global specialist in food and facilities management services that operates the forecourt on behalf of Maxol, said the investment was a testament to the company’s focus on the local community.
Mark said: “We strive for operational excellence, and accessibility for all customers is a major part of that. The Aramark team at Maxol Clarecastle sets a high standard of customer service, and providing that experience for everyone is our top priority.”
Investing in success
The latest projects form part of Maxol’s ongoing programme of investment across its nationwide network, focused on delivering modern, high-quality facilities that meet the evolving needs of customers, local communities and commercial fleet operators.
Brian Donaldson, CEO of The Maxol Group, said: “At Maxol, we are continually investing in our network to ensure we deliver the highest standards of convenience, quality and customer service. These latest developments in Cavan, Laois and Clare reflect our long-term commitment to providing modern, welcoming service stations that meet the needs of local communities and motorists alike.
“Every investment is tailored to the individual location, whether that’s expanding retail space, adding to our food-to-go selection, enhancing customer facilities or improving accessibility. As we continue to evolve our network, we are creating destinations that offer far more than fuel, while supporting the long-term success of our retail partners.”
