RGDATA raises Further Energy Price Hikes and delay in Solar Panel “Witness Test”
| RGDATA Director General raised the latest energy price increases at the Government’s Retail Forum meeting (5/12) and said the Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme must be extended for shops that sell fresh food. She also raised the delay in getting a “witness test” from the ESB for shops that have installed solar panels and must pass the test before they can be turned on. ‘It is taking over four weeks to get a test, the Department must intervene with the ESB to get more testers available so that these businesses can start using the solar they have installed,” Buckley told the meeting. |
