Ireland’s Leading Gift Card Company Raises funds for Gifting Moments for Sick Children

 One4all, Ireland’s leading gift card company has announce the remarkable success of its ‘Shop4Giggles’ campaign, which has raised over €260,000 for Children’s Health Foundation to date. The news comes as ‘Shop4Giggles’ is in its 9th year.

The initiative, designed to bring moments of joy to young patients and their families in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Connolly, and Tallaght, has received overwhelming support from the Irish community. All funds raised through this campaign contribute directly to the Giggle Fund and play therapy departments, dedicated to brightening the lives of young patients and their loved ones.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in making a difference and helping us spread happiness to those who need it most.” In addition to the remarkable fundraising achievement, One4all conducted research to gain insights into the role of laughter in Irish society. The findings highlight the deep appreciation the Irish have for humour and its importance in their daily lives:

Key Insights:

  • 93% proudly recognise Ireland’s unique sense of humour.
  • 85% believe that laughter is deeply embedded in the fabric of Irish culture.
  • Personal interactions are the source of daily laughter for 29%, narrowly outpacing social media at 26%.
  • An overwhelming 95% acknowledge the myriad health benefits of laughter, notably stress relief.

Until Sunday, 17th September, each transaction made using a One4all Gift Card or its digital counterpart at participating outlets saw One4all contributing 50c to Children’s Health Foundation’s Giggle Fund and play therapy departments. Notably, retailers River Island, News Look, and Curry’s have generously pledged to double this, committing and additional 50c per transaction.
