IGD director joins Summit line-up

The director of retail insight at the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD), Ben Miller, has joined the world-class line-up of speakers for the Summit 2016 in September.

Mr Miller is a leading authority on retail and supply trends, and leads IGD’s retail team. He is responsible for global insight programmes covering retailer performance and strategy, grocery market development, and tracking innovation and best practice.

A much sough-after speaker around the globe, the IGD director is expected to use his vast experience in shopping research to look at how the channel is adapting to stay ahead.

He will also be speaking about how local businesses can ensure it maximises the growth opportunity presented by new channels.

The Ireland’s Forecourt & Convenience Summit 2016 features an astonishing panel of speakers from the world of business and entertainment, and giving the day’s keynote address will be World Cup winning rugby legend, Sean Fitzpatrick.

Some 450 delegates from the world of neighbourhood, convenience and forecourt retailing are expected to attend on September 15 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Dublin.

Other speakers headlining the event include US retail design expert Joe Bona, Euro Garages director Ilyas Munshi, Senior Vice President of US convenience chain QuickChek, Mike Murphy, BBC mind-reader David Meade, and RGDATA’s director general Tara Buckley.

Uniquely combining three huge events into one day, the Ireland’s Forecourt & Convenience Summit will be a mine of information for the full spectrum of local retail, with its focused trade exhibition featuring some of the world’s leading retail service providers and suppliers.
