BWG ‘reach out’ with charity cycle

Senior BWG figures are to join a charity cycle in support of an organisation helping young people.

Pat Towey of Spar Express Ballaghaderreen is hosting the cycling event on May 22 in association with Reachout.com and the Ballaghaderreen Cycling Club.

Willie O’Byrne, managing director of BWG, is joining the cycle, along with Spar’s national sales manager, Colin Donnolly.

The event on May 22 is open to everyone. Those wishing to participate can join either the 50k or 100k route, and entry is €25.

The Reachout.com charity was set up to support the wellbeing of young people. An online youth mental health service, it helps young people through tough times and was the first of its kind in the world.

Originally the Inspire Foundation, ReachOut.com was developed in Australia in 1996. Focussing on people aged 12 to 25-years-old, the Inspire Foundation understood the importance technology was beginning to play in people’s lives.

Details of the charity cycle routes can be found on the Ballaghaderreen Cycling club Facebook page, and registration can be completed on eventbrite.ie, or on the day.
