Man arrested after assault on filling station shop worker
Belfast Live has reported that a 29-year-old man has been arrested after a female shop worker was assaulted in an incident at a filling station in West Belfast.
Officers were called to Lagmore Filling Station on the Stewartstown Road at approximately 7 pm on Tuesday 12th August following reports of an assault and criminal damage.
Taking to Facebook, the filling station thanked the local community for supporting their staff in the aftermath.
“Thank you to all the great local people who came out and supported our staff last night following assault and violent threats to our staff as well as theft and criminal damage,” they said.
“We can only achieve our goal to make this the best store in the West when the Community stands behind us.
“Luckily, everyone is OK, and your support has emboldened us to keep trying to make a difference even in the face of disgusting behaviour.
