Take another look at the section of the Irish Fuel Report that refers to the Republic of Ireland – as compiled exclusively for IF&CR by Green Street.
Circle K leads the way with 356 sites (30.5% market share). Top Oil has 248 sites with 11.3% market share. Applegreen has 192 sites in the 26 counties – with 13.4% market share in terms of volume. Maxol has 144 sites (plus 102 sites in Northern Ireland).
Unbranded sites account for 388 sites – somewhat surprisingly in 2025 – but accounts for only 6.6% market share – and average volume per site of 521 (kl p.a.). Minor brands account for 2% market share with 48 sites and 1,214 agerage MF volume.
When it comes to market share by ownership in the Republic of Ireland, there are 1,341 dealer owned sites with an average MF volume per site (kl p.a), compared to an average of 2,690 averae MF volume per site (kl p.a.) for the 499 commpany owned sites.
That brings the total in Republic of Ireland to 1,840 and an average MF volume per site (kl p.a.) of 1,612.
