Maxol launches ‘Wash for Wishes’ Carwash Week

A ‘Wash for Wishes’ campaign by Maxol will see £1 from every carwash help grant wishes for children facing life-threating conditions.

The Maxol Group said it was delighted to announce the return of their ‘Wash for Wishes’ carwash campaign, as part of the company’s charity partnership with Make-A-Wish UK.

‘Wash for Wishes’ week will run from Wednesday September 30 until Wednesday October 7, and the company aims to surpass the £7,500 figure raised previously.

All funds raised will help Make-A-Wish to reach their 2015 target of granting 175 wishes which is a 29 per cent increase on last year.

Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Maxol’s group brand development manager, Fergal Harrington, said: “To date we are delighted to say we have raised an incredible £120,000 for the foundation.

“The generosity of our customers is always phenomenal and ‘Wash for Wishes’ continues to be one of our key campaigns for the charity. We want to stress that every donation made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation goes towards helping those who need it most.”

Jason Suckley, CEO of Make-A-Wish UK, added: “Thank you to Maxol and its customers for supporting Make-A-Wish UK through Maxol’s Wash for Wishes carwash week.

“The fantastic effort from this fundraiser will help grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of some of the most deserving children and young people across the UK. We want to grant the wishes of over 1,000 seriously ill children this year and funds raised this week will help us achieve this.”

Participating service stations are listed on Maxol’s official campaign website and will display ‘Wash for Wishes’ advertisements on their forecourts.
