Booker announced as Shell UK’s new supply partner

Booker has been unveiled as the new supply partner of Shell UK stores nationwide

The agreement has been accorded through the Booker Wholesale estate, and is to be transferred to the Booker Retail Partners network sometime in the New Year.

The collapse of Palmer and Harvey in late November sent shockwaves through the forecourt industry, with large swathes of forecourt sites seeking a new supplier. The announcement of Booker’s new supply contract will see the wholesaler servicing Shell’s 500 UK outlets.

David Moss, general manager at Shell Retail UK said: “we are very pleased to be working with Booker to ensure there is a safe and reliable supply of products to our service stations to provide our customers a wide choice of goods and services.”

The move comes just three months after it was revealed Booker’s Budgens fascia was introduced across 20 Shell forecourts, following a successful trial period at four of Shell’s sites.

Steve Fox, managing director of Booker Group said: “We are really excited about this new partnership and it is a privilege to serve Shell retailers. The whole team are looking forward to working with Shell to increase Footfall, sales and profits for their stores.”
